Waycross Community Media has been covering all local wrestlers who make it to the medal rounds in the OHSAA State Finals since 1991 when it was being held at the Nutter Center at Wright State University. The move to Columbus and Value City Arena at the Schottenstine Center has been followed by the Waycross volunteers right along. The cable cast production is available on Time Warner cable through out the area either directly from Waycross if you live in northern Cincinnaati or by contacting your local cable community media outlet and it is available on demand at www.waycross.tv. To order a DVD copy of the production for $20.00 download the applicantion form from this site. It is available at the "Forms" tab.
The production is divided into two segments, the Consolation Finals (all 8 places) and the Championship Matches. With the Championship Matches each of our local finalists will be covered and where there is no local connection the TV crew selects what they believe to be the outstanding matches available.
Waycross is the only TV outlet covering such a wide range of wrestlers. The production is the result of the volunteeer efforts of some 15 crew members employing at least 5 cameras with slow motion replay and the capacity to cover up to 4 simultanious matches with split screens.
This production is made available to wrestling fans with the financial support from the following underwriters.
SWOWCA, The voice for high school wrestling in Greater Cincinnati
Cincinnati Sub Zero Inc., providing commercial temperature variable applications.
Foster and Motley, a fee only financial planning company serving the region.
